Turn screenshots into JIRA tickets in seconds.

Capture UI issues directly in your browser and push them to Linear or Jira in seconds. No calls, no screenshots in Slack, no follow-up threads. Free during beta.

From issue spotted → logged Jira/Linear in under 5s

The problem

Feedback shouldn't be a full-time job.

Most bugs don't take long to fix. Explaining them does.

Unnecessary calls

Hopping on a Zoom to point at a button that's three pixels off. Again.

Too many tools

Cmd+Shift+4, paste in Slack, copy to Notion, link in Jira. Repeat for every issue.

Lost details

"Which page was this on again?" Context dies in spreadsheets and old threads.

Slow reporting

The longer the reporting takes, the more issues never get logged.

How it works

Point. Comment. Log.

Click any UI element, leave feedback and create a ticket instantly – without leaving the browser.

Step 01

Pick what's broken

Click any UI element on the page — or drag a region for a screenshot.

Step 02

Add feedback

Your comment along with URL and the snapshot are attached for you.

Linear Jira
Step 03

Log instantly ⚡️

Press Shift+Enter to log as a Linear or Jira ticket.

Who's it for

Built for designers and PMs who care.

If you spend your day catching things that aren't quite right, Notate gets them out of your head and into your tracker.

Designers

Capture without leaving the browser.

Point, comment, send. Stop pasting screenshots into Figma comments nobody reads.

QA teams

Log bugs with visual proof.

Every ticket comes with the URL, the element, the viewport, and a screenshot. Repro steps included.

PMs

Share feedback without writing essays.

Skip the doc. Point at the thing, say what's wrong, move on with your day.

Startups

Lightweight, async, and free.

No seats, no procurement, no monthly bill. Install it, ship faster, send us a tip if you like it.

What's included

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Notate is intentionally small. We add things when they save time. We say no to the rest.

Capture any UI element

Buttons, modals, list rows, micro-copy. If it renders in the DOM, you can pin it.

Comments and context

Free-text notes, labels, tags. URL, viewport, and a screenshot are attached automatically.

Linear & Jira export

One click creates a real ticket in your project, with the right title, description, and attachments.

Bulk export

Triage a list of pins, push them all to your tracker at once. Or export as CSV/JSON.

Works on any page

Marketing site, staging, localhost, internal admin. If your browser can load it, Notate works on it.

Free during beta

Every feature, no limits, no card required. Tip jar's there if it earns its keep.

How we compare

Same job. Less friction. No subscription.

Visual feedback tools we respect — and where Notate is intentionally different. No upsells, no client onboarding, no extra tabs to manage.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Is it really free?
Yes. The full extension is free during the open beta — no seats, no usage caps, no card required. If we ever charge, beta users get a long runway and a fair price. We won't pull the rug.
How do you make money?
Today, we don't — there's a tip jar for people who want to chip in. Post-beta, we'll likely sell a team plan with shared workspaces and SSO. Individual use will stay generous.
Does it work with my tracker?
Native one-click export to Linear and Jira on day one. GitHub Issues, Asana, and Notion are next on the list. You can also copy a clean Markdown block and paste into anything.
Is my data private?
Pins stay local until you push them. Screenshots are taken in the browser and only leave your machine when you send a ticket. We don't read your pages, and we don't track what you look at.
Can I use it on internal tools and localhost?
Yes. Notate runs on any page your browser can open — staging, admin dashboards, localhost, VPN'd internal apps. Nothing leaves the extension until you choose to send a ticket.
